- Meeting of the College of Liberal Arts Students' Association Completed The College of Liberal Arts (Dean Lim Kyung-seok) held the Student Council Meeting at Okryucheon at 12:00 on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Dean Lim Kyung-seok, Head of Administration Office Choi Byung-wook, and student presidents of each department attended the meeting. At the meeting, the president of the student council of each department introduced the executive branch of each student council and presented future plans, small groups, studies, and academic activities. The event was designed to inspire student presidents' sense of belonging and share more detailed student council status. Lim Kyung-seok, president of the College of Liberal Arts, said, "The student council represents students, so feel free to talk about the parts necessary for the development of the department, and we will try to have frequent opportunities to communicate in the future."

- Francophone Global K-Cinema by Department of French Language and Literature
- Francophone Global K-Cinema Conference and Talk by Department of French Language and Literature The department of French Language and Literature is holding a conference and talk on Francophone Global K-Cinema at the SKKU Business Hall Small Theater in HSSC on Sep. 29 (Thu). The event will be divided into 2 parts. In the first part, a conference by film theorist Jacques Aumont (former professor of Paris 3 University) is held, and a talk with the world-renowned director Chang-Dong Lee, who raised the status of Korean films, in the second part. Prof. Heuitae Park, who planned this conference and talk, said, “This lecture, in which a French scholar clearly analyzes Korean films that are receiving worldwide attention, will be an opportunity to understand what the true value of Korean film is. In addition, you will be able to feel the nature of Korean film creation through the talk. - Achievement of S grade in the CORE Project
- Achievement of S grade in the liberal arts college in the third year of follow-up management of the College Humanities Competency Enhancement Project (CORE) The College of Liberal Arts (Dean: Professor Lim Kyung-seok) received the highest grade, S, as a result of the annual inspection of the third year of post-management of the College Humanities Competency Enhancement Project (CORE) announced on June 3. The university humanities competency reinforcement project was implemented with a total of 9.5 billion won from the 2016 to 2018 school year to promote the humanities field, and even after the project is completed, it is conducting follow-up management for major performance and maintenance of the CORE project. The post-management of the CORE project consists of a global regional model, a humanities-based convergence model, a basic academic depth model, and a university's own model. In the third year, the emphasis was placed on efforts to nurture the next generation of excellent academics, such as maintaining existing performance, establishing 명륜서원, reorganizing major subjects, and strengthening student guidance. As a result of the annual inspection, the Korea Research Foundation selected the increase in the number of teachers participating in the CORE project, conducting programs to strengthen recruitment and start-up capabilities, operating and supporting grass roots associations(풀뿌리 학회), revitalizing MOOC courses, establishing convergence classes through active C/L settings, and establishing 명륜서원 as the excellent factors. Based on the results of the annual inspection by the Korea Research Foundation, the College of Liberal Arts will continue to develop humanities-related programs and support subsequent generations to maintain business performance even after the fourth year.

- National Information Society Agency – SKKU Korean Language Education Department signed a contract to participate in 'Artificial Intelligence Learning Data Building Project’ On April 18, the Korean Language Education Department of the Liberal Arts University signed a contract to participate in the ‘Artificial Intelligence Learning Data Building Project’ of the National Information Society Agency. SKKU will form a consortium with companies such as ‘NaraInformation’ and ‘Naver’ and universities such as ‘Seoul National University’ and ‘Sogang University’ to conduct a project to dataize foreigners' Korean voice data. The project will run for 8 months from April to November 2022.

- “Spring 2022 Sungkyun Korean Literature Conference” Sungkyun Korean Humanities Council, “Spring 2022 Sungkyun Korean Literature Conference” was held with great success. The Sungkyun Korean Humanities Council successfully concluded the "2022 Spring Sungkyun Conference (New Methods and Discourses of Korean Humanities)" on Friday, May 13th. This conference was divided into three main sections. The conference was conducted in a mix of online and offline, and it was a success with a total of 40 people participating in the field and 90 people participating in the online(ZOOM).

- Sungkyunkwan Korean Humanities Council, The international academic seminar "Academic Role of Traditional and Modern Universities" was successfully held. Sungkyunkwan Korean Humanities Council (Chairman Park Jae-woo, Professor of the Department of History) successfully completed its international academic conference "Academic and Role of Traditional and Modern Universities" on October 22 (Friday). The Sungkyunkwan Korean Humanities Council was officially launched in February 2021 by related units of Sungkyunkwan University's College of Study, Liberal Arts, and East Asian Studies to recognize the rapid social changes facing the world and Korea and present insights to solve them. This international academic competition was held in three main sections. The transformation of Sungkyunkwan in Part 1 and the characteristics of the system and curriculum of Sungkyunkwan in the ▲ The process and meaning of Sungkyunkwan University as a modern university (Professor Oh Je-yeon) ▲ Immediately after Dr. Jang Ji-young of Sungkyunkwan University. In the second part of East Asian University's birth and study, ▲ East Asian University and city relations (Professor Oh Do-young of Lingnan University in Hong Kong) ▲ Differences in medical-humanities psychoanalysis positions (Professor Lee Jung-min of Taiwan Normal University) ▲ East Asian classical studies (Professor Sungkyunkwan University) In the third East Asian University and Gender, ▲ Japanese colonial era colonial Joseon established and operated by Lee Hwa-yeo (Professor Kim Jeong-in of Chuncheon National University) ▲ How the ideology of the women's high school in Tokyo, Japan works (Professor Choi Ja-myeong) ▲ Women's Compilation Receipt Textbook in Japan. This international academic competition was held as a ZOOM-based online conference under the fourth stage of COVID-19, and it was a success with a total of 70 participants. Oh Je-yeon, head of the Department of History, said, "It was a time to understand the academic traditions and the context of the times in East Asian countries that had a common culture or civilization since the traditional period, and it was an opportunity to have a deep insight into the direction of Korean universities' academic achievement and role."
