College of Liberal Arts

VISION

The college aims to cultivate individuals with an understanding of humanity and society broadly but in depth, through various lectures and research areas in the humanities, in addition to training experts in the practical command of foreign languages and knowledge in the humanities according to the age of globalization.

 

MISSION
  • Global Talent Training
    • We are training talented individuals based on the ideology of ‘Moral training and home management’ for the goal of self-completion and peace. Through studies in culture, students will learn in depth, the life of humans, society spirit and culture with the learning objective of ‘benevolence'
  • Leader Talent Training
    • Training professional leaders who will be at the forefront of their field and direct society through this generation of multiculture

  • Vision: Realization of Silsagushi Humanities :
    • ‘Silsagushi’ means the core method of Silhak and seeking for truth on the basis of reality, facing reality but also seeking.
      for traditions and macroscopic view of the future, which is the overall vision of humanities.

  • 4 Major Objectives :
    • Training human resources to carry on the global spirit of Ji-won Park who looked at the world through Yeolha llgi.
    • Training human resources to carry on the spirit of the practice and integral thoughts of Yak-yong Jeoung who designed Hwaseong Fortress and desgined cranes and pulleys used in the way of Confucian ideals.
    • Training human resources to carry on the spirit of Scalar of Toegye Yi Whang, who explored the best level of Neo-confucianism in East Asia.
    • Training human resources to carry on the spirit and foresight of Yulgok Yi I who predicted changes in society and prepared for the late period of Chosen.
