By reading these diaries, this course examines the variety of structures of knowledge and culture in Koreaand other East Asian countries. As a comprehensive inquiry into traditional East Asian philosophies, Neo-Confucianism has enjoyed great influence within the East Asian cultural context and remains indispensable to the study of East Asian Traditional Thought. The study of Neo-Confucianism and East Asian Traditional Thought occurs on two levels: Firstly, to examine the commonalities of Neo-Confucianism so as to determine the essence of East Asian Traditional Thought, and secondly, to find other possible inquiries into East Asian Studies on these grounds. | |||||||||
