Achievement of S grade in the liberal arts college in the third year of follow-up management of the College Humanities Competency Enhancement Project (CORE)
The College of Liberal Arts (Dean: Professor Lim Kyung-seok) received the highest grade, S, as a result of the annual inspection of the third year of post-management of the College Humanities Competency Enhancement Project (CORE) announced on June 3.
The university humanities competency reinforcement project was implemented with a total of 9.5 billion won from the 2016 to 2018 school year to promote the humanities field, and even after the project is completed, it is conducting follow-up management for major performance and maintenance of the CORE project.
The post-management of the CORE project consists of a global regional model, a humanities-based convergence model, a basic academic depth model, and a university's own model. In the third year, the emphasis was placed on efforts to nurture the next generation of excellent academics, such as maintaining existing performance, establishing 명륜서원, reorganizing major subjects, and strengthening student guidance.
As a result of the annual inspection, the Korea Research Foundation selected the increase in the number of teachers participating in the CORE project, conducting programs to strengthen recruitment and start-up capabilities, operating and supporting grass roots associations(풀뿌리 학회), revitalizing MOOC courses, establishing convergence classes through active C/L settings, and establishing 명륜서원 as the excellent factors.
Based on the results of the annual inspection by the Korea Research Foundation, the College of Liberal Arts will continue to develop humanities-related programs and support subsequent generations to maintain business performance even after the fourth year.
