College of Liberal Arts holds a scholarship award ceremony for Park Ki-hwa in 2023

The first award ceremony for the "Danhe Park Ki-hwa Scholarship" of the liberal arts university was held on August 8 (Tue) at Toegye Humanities Hall 31503 of the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus.
The Danheo Park Ki-hwa Scholarship is a scholarship funded by the late alumni Park Ki-hwa and Hong Mi-young in April 2022. The full tuition fee for one semester is provided to two liberal arts students every school year.
Hong Mi-young, first daughter Park Joo-yeon, second daughter Park Ji-yeon, and grandson Heo Min-ki attended the ceremony, and many foreign guests attended the school, including Ahn Dae-hoe, general secretary Lee Chul-woo, Kim Young-sik, former head of the literature and information team. The award ceremony began with a photo screening and silent tribute when the late alumni Park Ki-hwa was in office.
Ahn Dae-hoe, president of the College of Liberal Arts, and Hong Mi-young directly awarded scholarship certificates and scholarships to Jeong Yoon-hwan (philosophy department) and Choi Jin-ho (literary information department), who were selected as scholarships for Danheo Park Ki-hwa.
Ahn Dae-hoe, president of the College of Liberal Arts, said in a speech of encouragement, "It would have been great if alumni Park Ki-hwa were here," and thanked Hong Mi-young and her family, saying, "Because they supported the late alumni Park Ki-hwa's love for their alma mater, they paid off." He also congratulated students Jung Yoon-hwan and Choi Jin-ho, who received scholarships.
Park Joo-yeon, the eldest daughter on behalf of her family, also said in a message of encouragement, "I remember that my father was always full of affection for the school when he worked at Sungkyunkwan University." He expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am happy that my father's heart can be delivered through the Danheo Park Ki-hwa scholarship." He also said, "I hope that the two students who were awarded scholarships will lead to a relationship that can help them as life seniors."
Students Jung Yoon-hwan and Choi Jin-ho, who received scholarships, also expressed their determination in appreciation, saying, "It is very regrettable that I cannot directly thank alumni Park Ki-hwa," adding, "I thank my family and will work hard in my studies and school life as the first scholarship students of the Danheo Park Ki-hwa Scholarship.“
Born in 1953, alumni Park Ki-hwa graduated from the library department of this school, joined the faculty in 1981 as a member of the school's faculty, and served as the head and manager of the academic information team of △ Central Library, △ Medical University Administration Office, △ Central Information Center, and Samsung Academic Information Center retired in February 2011. While in office, he received a number of commendations, including the Minister of Education's commendation and the President's commendation for the modernization of academic information centers. Even after retirement, he thought a lot about his role in the development of the school with his alma mater and affection for his job, and in 2017, he agreed to 100 million won as a scholarship fund for his juniors (currently set aside 120 million won). Meanwhile, on April 6, 2022, when Corona was in full swing, unfortunately, he left us at the age of 68.
